RED by Shadowgrail RED by Shadowgrail
This is a photoshop colors version of a commission piece i promised to a fellow DA member here..
I re-created a pose that was prevalent in all my google searches, but I hope my take on the colors and style show a small bit of variety. :thanks:

Hope you all like it! =D

Thanks fantastic! I don’t think I’ve ever seen the 3D focus style done quite so well as this. Wonderful perspective and a very simple image brought to life.

I LOVE the colors you've done here. I usually favor his bright colors, but this is really slick. The base of the tornado is such a great shape, too. I like how messy the whirlwind is!

The pose is very similar to Ed Benes work, but so long as you don't make a habit out of it, I think you're fine.

It's the cover of JLA #3 by Michael Turner, not Benes.

That's right! I got confused, I think because Benes was doing the pages. If I'm wrong on that, then I have no excuse.

I like the darker palette. It gives an animated feel, almost like an individual colored cell.

You did a great job. Everything flows but maybe since in PSD. You think a motion blur or a smudge to the tornado would add a bit more action?!?! But the Red Tornado is a great character and a job well done...

Very nice. I have always liked his colors and I feel they never really used him correctly. I realy like the colors and pose you laid down here.
