Hey All I know I said I was gonna be away but I decided tonight to use my drawing break to practice some color !

Heh so here's my second attempt at coloring in Photoshop and I kept the pencil's visible on this one.. =D

I also played a bit with some other tools like Dodge /burn/ smudge ..
So I picked my Punish_Her drawing as my second experiment in coloring..
Feedback would be Awesome cause I'm still learnin' to use Photoshop..

Hope y'all likes !

Thankee Swimmie ! I think I shoulda added a red undertone for her skin color .. she looks pretty pale.. but I guess I never really saw Punsher sun bathing.. lol and I didn't think my female punisher would too.. =D
Looks terrific, I especially like how her out fit came out, the stretch lines and folds look great in her outfit =/\./\=

Hey thanks bro !

I still think there's something I didn't do right about makin the line art show.. hmmn.. I gonna ask my friend tomorrow this is gonna bug me.. lol but I like how it came out still.. pretty close to a comic-book "looks " as I'm gonna get with my current working knowledge of PS.. =D I'll try harder.. =D
Yep! It's awesome!!

The gun is very 'life-like' and that's kinda ....scary.

Typical boys, such a crush on weapons, huh? ;) lol

those colors are wicked! actually, the whole piece is incredible! WTG
good use of coloring in ps. i like the dodge/smudge/burn stuff too. it looks almost like a watercolor in this one. very artsy looking. i love it. the colors were nice choices to use together as well. skin tones are the only comment i have....they look a little "off" perhaps a little too much shine and not enough shadow...or not blended correctly...they dont fit in with the rest of the coloring...almost as if you used a different technique. overall, this was done very well. the sketch itself is a great one! keep up the good work!!!

Eyup.. you can almost see my trial and error foot steps all over this thing.. lol

I gotta figure out a way to get just the right kinda skin tone going on..

I think towards teh end of the drawing I was geting real comfortable with the Dodge and burn tools.. and smudge feels comfortable to me like when I draw..

I don't own one of those TABLET thingy-majigs so I had to use a mouse for all of this.. =/

Thank you tho ! I love all this feedback !
i dont own a wacom either so i know how hard mousing is. i find if you hold down the mouse button and do all of a secion once with the tool you are using, then you get a less "marked up" look. i dont like how you can see your "tracks" most of the time when you (genral use of the word) draw. i try to use a brush with a large span for large sections and small one for smaller...with a large focus so that the edges arent so crispy looking. when i do skin tones i remember that shadows are build of blues/greens moreso then greys, and highlights are red/yellows. if you use a skintone for skin, then lightly spray in some of the tones, then use smudge/burn/dodge, the colors you mix with the skintone make the greys and lighter colors. you get the warm/cool effects. if you add too much in one area, then use a little white or lighter skintone shade and just keep at it. eventually it works out...sorta.

i have a partially done piece where you can see my marks...perhaps that will help you. will load later today (its on my other computer) for you to see
